Adhesive foils

Adhesive foils are soft, very smooth plastic films made of PVC that adhere to flat surfaces without the need for glue. They can be printed on both sides, making them an ideal medium for displaying information on all smooth glass surfaces.

Adhesive film – what is it?

‘Adhesion’ comes from the Latin word ‘adhaerere’ and means ‘to stick’. Adhesive films adhere entirely without the use of glue. This is made possible by the attractive force between the molecules of two materials (film + smooth surface).

For this to work, the molecules must come as close together as possible to achieve optimum adhesion. This method therefore only works on smooth surfaces. It is important to note that the surface must be thoroughly cleaned; dust and dirt particles can significantly impair the adhesive force.

Sticking foils

The sticking foil is coated with an ultra-light, easily removable adhesive that leaves no residue. Furthermore, this foil can be printed with UV-resistant inks and finished with a UV varnish, making it suitable for outdoor use without any problems.
